This style of rug (or wall hanging as it is often used as such) is referred to as a "picasso" in Morocco. It is handmade by Berber tribes in the Atlas Mountaints from camel hair and requires 2.5months of work to complete. It is made as a flat weave meaning it's not thick or piled and these rugs do best with a rug mat as they can easily slip and bunch up if you are using them on a slick surface such as tile or wood floors. This particular rug is 4 x 6 feet.
